“Untold Scandal,” directed by Lee Jae-yong, is a 2003 film that adapts the French novel “Les Liaisons Dangereuses” into a Chosun-era setting. The story revolves around infamous temptress Lady Cho (played by Lee Mi-sook) and womanizer Jo-won (played by Bae Yong-joon) as they engage in a saucy love game to corrupt Lady Jeong (played by Jeon Do -yeon). ), a young woman of great virtue.
Despite being deemed unsuitable for teenagers, “Untold Scandal” attracted over 3 million viewers and won awards at various film awards ceremonies both nationally and internationally, receiving recognition for its artistic quality.
