Lately, SM Entertainment in collaboration with Peaceful Love and launched SM Artist Lightstick Lip Balms.
This collaboration has attracted a lot of attention from fans, as it was an innovative product that many fans would like to add to their collection. For this collaboration, they released three versions:
Red Velvet
NCT
Aespa
However, fans believed that the price of the lip balm would be the biggest factor in determining whether or not they would purchase the product.
On September 23, the product was officially put on sale online and the price was revealed.
Many fans were shocked by the price tag of 23,000 KRW (~$17.21 USD), as no photo card or anything else was included.
The only offer available was a limited-edition mini-bag of lip balm for fans who purchased two or more lip balms.
Most fans were not thrilled with the price and felt it was too high, even though it was a collaboration item.
- “I’m sorry they didn’t add a photo card. I had a feeling the price would be so high… but the case doesn’t look like it costs 10,000 KRW.”
- “I don’t believe it.”
- “If you buy two, it costs almost as much as a regular light stick. I didn’t expect much, but I can’t believe it costs more than 20,000 KRW.”
- “I would have bought it even if it was 30,000 KRW and included a photo card… but having nothing and spending more than 20,000 KRW is a bit…”
