SM faces backlash for overpriced Christmas merchandise

On December 19th, SM Entertainment has released official Christmas merchandise to celebrate the winter season.

The goods consisted of a Pink Christmas random package Forr 6,000 KRW ($~4.14 USD) and others Pink Christmas cup and saucer set for 45,000 KRW ($~31.02 USD).

However, fans were disappointed with the price of the cup and saucer set.

While cute in design, some thought similar pieces could be found for much less.

The site, however, emphasized that the product was a handmade piece of ceramic.

Also included in the set was a photo postcard with the option to choose the artist.

They also announced that they would open pre-orders to allow fans to purchase products offline. However, most were not interested and thought they were scamming fans into purchasing overpriced items.
