In a statement shared with news agency Newsen, SM Entertainment said that the company first became aware of Taeil’s sex crime scandal in mid-August, which led to the decision to remove him from NCT.
Both the company and Taeil first learned of the indictment in mid-August. Taeil was interviewed by police on August 28.
