Following the recent disclosure of HYBE’s internal documents during an audit by the National Assembly, the entertainment giant has faced widespread criticism.
Among the information revealed were surprising details about HYBE’s reported plans to potentially stop promoting NewJeans in favor of other groups. The documents also contained inflammatory comments about other companies and their artists.
One particularly heated response came from an alleged SM Entertainment employee. A post on TheQoo shared a screenshot of the employee’s Instagram story, which highlighted a part of the leaked report that referenced SM’s new girl group.
In particular, artists from SM Entertainment (hereinafter SM) were often mentioned.
The document contained statements such as “Suddenly, information about SM’s new girl group began to circulate. About 8 candidates were shortlisted, but surprisingly none of them are cute. Considering how everyone was shocked [redacted]when they debuted, I wonder if SM’s aesthetic sense changed,’ and also criticized their vocal abilities saying, “The fandom’s defense rationale for a certain SM girl group was “the company doesn’t let talented members shine”, but this was completely destroyed at Coachella.

The employee reacted by flagging the comments and attaching several angry emojis, indicating his frustration with HYBE and the documents. Their story then quickly went viral, with many netizens supporting the employee’s reaction and continuing to express their disapproval of HYBE.
