Smenteredinment has officially canceled Toeyeon’sSolist concerts in Tokyo, originally scheduled for 19 and 20 April at the Ariake Arena.
The announcement was made on April 29, confirming that there will be no reprogrammed and that all ticket holders will receive complete reimbursements.
The concerts, part of the Asian tour “The Tense” of Taeyeon, were postponed for the first time only two days before the scheduled performances. At the time, smeniortainment explained That essential equipment for the show had not arrived in Japan, making it impossible to proceed as expected. The company initially hoped to find an alternative location or solution, but in the end it decided to cancel the Tokyo concerts entirely due to the current difficulties that guarantee a suitable place and maintain the quality of production of the concert.
“We apologize deeply with all the fans who were looking forward to the performance. We have exhausted every possible option, which unfortunately delayed this update. We sincerely ask for your understanding and once again we extend our synthesis apologies,” said the agency in an official declaration.
Sm Entertainment reiterated that all the tickets purchased will be reimbursed in full. Fans are encouraged to check their purchase platforms for updates on the refund process. The company has not announced any replacement dates for Tokyo concerts canceled.
Toeyeon He is an South Korean singer who has gained fame for the first time as the leader and main singer of the generation of girls, one of the most influential groups of K-Pop. Debuting in 2007, he contributed to leading the group to national and international celebrity with successes at the top of the ranking such as “Gee” and “I Got a Boy”.
In 2015, Taeyeon launched his solo career with the mini-album, IAnd since then it has been recognized for his successful solo outputs, collaborations and sold out concerts.
Tokyo’s concerts were part of the sixth solo tour of Taeyeon, “The Tense”, which marks his return to the stage after almost two years. This tour in Asia was organized to promote its two recent EPS, A. X (2023) e Letter to myself (2024) and to celebrate the tenth anniversary of his solo debut.
