SHINee Stars Face Public Scrutiny Over Ties to ‘Injection Auntie’ Amid Park Na-rae Controversy

“Explain Injection Auntie!” — that’s the stream of comments currently flooding SHINee Key’s social media, as online users search for answers regarding her alleged connection to the unlicensed medical provider recently exposed in the Park Na-rae scandal.

The controversy began when it was reported that Park Na-rae had received IV and antidepressant injections from a woman identified only as “A”, who had no medical license. Known online as “주사 이모 (Injection Auntie)”, one allegedly performed illegal medical procedures in private settings, including during Park’s overseas programs.

But now, both fans and netizens are speculating that SHINee’s key may also be linked to A.

The suspicions were fueled by a video A published in December 2023, showing a brown poodle that closely resembles Comme Des, Key’s well-known pet. Observers noted that the interior of the house in the video was also strikingly similar to the one Key previously revealed on MBC’s I Live Alone.

In the clip, A is heard saying: “Comme Des, why are you like this? It’s been over 10 years and you’re still staring like that?” and “Garçons doesn’t behave like that.” The direct naming of Key’s pets has led many to conclude that the video was filmed at his residence, suggesting a close relationship between the two.

As a result, Key’s Instagram was flooded with comments calling for a statement. So far, SM Entertainment has refused to respond to the allegations.

Meanwhile, Park Na-rae’s team said they were under the impression that A had a valid medical license and denied any use of antidepressants. A also tried to defend her credentials by claiming that she was once the youngest female professor at a medical university in China, but this claim was quickly refuted by a Korean medical group, which said that the university in question does not exist.

Adding to the scandal, Dispatch revealed chat logs indicating A had offered prescription drugs without a prescription, raising further legal and ethical concerns.

As the situation evolves, the silence from Key’s camp only intensifies the public’s curiosity. It remains to be seen whether these suspicions will lead to a formal statement or legal action.
