On December 12, a representative for tvN’s Amazing Saturday confirmed to Xports News, “Key will not be participating in this week’s filming due to his scheduled overseas tour.” He also reportedly missed a recent studio shoot of MBC’s I Live Alone.
Her absence has attracted more attention, particularly as Key is currently embroiled in speculation about the so-called “Aunt Injection”, a woman called “A”, who has been accused of providing illegal medical treatment to celebrities, including Park Na-rae. The controversy erupted after Park allegedly received unlicensed medical services from A.
While Park Na-rae’s side claimed to have received a vitamin IV drip from a licensed medical professional and denied any illegal activity, subsequent investigations based on medical association documents revealed that A was not a licensed doctor in Korea.
Since Key, like Park, is a regular cast member on both Amazing Saturday and I Live Alone, his alleged longtime friendship with A has also come under scrutiny. A reportedly posted that he has known Key for 10 years and even uploaded a photo believed to be of his dog, fueling further speculation.
Other celebrities mentioned in connection with A, including Jung Jae-hyung and Onew, quickly distanced themselves and issued clarifications. However, Key has remained silent on the matter.
Currently, Key is on his fourth solo tour, “KEYLAND: Uncanny Valley,” performing in major U.S. cities including Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas-Fort Worth, Brooklyn, Chicago and Seattle from December 3-15.
Considering the timing, some have speculated that her absence from TV was related to the “Injection Aunt” issue, but reports confirm that it is purely due to her tour schedule. There is also speculation that the delay in his response could be due to his commitments abroad.
