In KPOP history, singer Ko Young-wook is known as the first star to have electronic anklets attached. He debuted with the mixed group “Roo’Ra” in 1994 and released hits such as “Angel Without Wings” and “3!4!”
However, he was accused of child sexual assault and had to wear electronic ankle monitors. In particular, he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison in 2013 for sexually assaulting and molesting two minors who were 14 years old at the time and a minor who was 19 years old.
On October 7, Ko Young-wook posted a photo on his social media account, saying, “Most of my photos online are embarrassing or uncomfortable, but I also have some ‘Dandy’ photos from the days when I once stood by alongside with the best Dandy Boy and Dandy Girl of the time, so I want to publish them.
Ko Young-wook also said: “For your information, the name of my personal fan club during my Roo’ra days was Dandy GO.”
A photo uploaded by Ko showed him posing in a coat similar to actress Kim Min-hee’s. Another photo showed 7-year-old G-Dragon posing with Ko Young-wook.
Along with a photo taken with G-Dragon, Ko Young-wook wrote“Kwon Ji-yong was seven years old in the photo below… It’s also an honor for me that he played my young version and imitated me when he introduced himself,” and added, “Because of this, I don’t think my life is completely ruined.”
