Seventeen has officially renewed their contracts with PLEDIS Entertainment, promising fans that they will “continue to sail in the same boat and move forward together” as all 13 members enter the next chapter as one team.
The announcement came at the end of their “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] ENCORE” were held at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, where the group concluded a seven-month concert series around the world.
During the final night, leader S.Coups addressed fans and revealed that all members had agreed to renew their contracts with HYBE’s label PLEDIS Entertainment, according to reports Investigator.
He explained that the decision came after many “deep conversations” among the members and said they chose to “row together in the same boat and move forward”, a message that drew loud cheers from the crowd.
This marks the second contract renewal for the entire Seventeen group, following the first early extension with PLEDIS in 2021, when all 13 members also decided to remain with the company before their original contracts expired.
At the time, both the group and the agency emphasized mutual trust, saying they wanted to continue working together to deliver strong music and performances as “one team”.
The new renewal reinforces Seventeen’s reputation as one of the few major K-pop groups to maintain its full lineup through multiple contract cycles, with no member departures announced.
After the encore performances, PLEDIS and Korean media reported that the group plans to continue activities after a short break, with members expected to balance group work with solo and unit projects. SBS Star reported.
Seventeen have repeatedly told fans, known as CARAT, that they aim to get “as close to forever as possible” as a 13-member group, and the renewed contracts are seen as a concrete step towards that promise.
The group also thanked the fans present at the concert, asking them to wait for their return as a full team once the ongoing individual programs are completed.
Industry observers note that it is rare for a group of Seventeen’s size to secure a second renewal without lineup changes, highlighting the members’ long-standing teamwork and their relationship with PLEDIS.
