SEVENTEEN receives plaque of appreciation from the Los Angeles City Council

On November 8 (local time), the Los Angeles City Council invited Joshua from SEVENTEEN to City Hall to present the plaque of appreciation. The Plaque of Appreciation is awarded to organizations and individuals who have contributed to the arts, culture and community. The Los Angeles City Council recognized SEVENTEEN for promoting the city through their performances and “The City” project.

The event was attended by several members of the Los Angeles City Council, including Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson, Katy Yaroslavsky, John Lee, Traci Park and Tim McOsker. Hundreds of fans also gathered around Los Angeles City Hall to show support for Joshua.

Joshua expressed his gratitude, “I am deeply honored to receive this plaque of appreciation on behalf of my team. It’s a pleasure to be able to promote SEVENTEEN in LA.“He added:”I’m proud to be able to show our beloved CARAT (fandom name) around the city. I hope SEVENTEEN and LA can shine together through our performances and “SEVENTEEN The City LA”.

He also noted: “SEVENTEEN and LA share a foundation of diversity, which opens up endless possibilities. Los Angeles has become a global entertainment hub thanks to the vibrancy of its diverse community, and SEVENTEEN is a group of 13 unique individuals who come together to create our dynamic energy and creativity.

Board member Katy Yaroslavsky praised SEVENTEEN as “an incredible K-pop group that has conquered the world. They have built a cultural bridge that connects fans around the world with more than just music.”

He added: “SEVENTEEN has consistently conveyed a message of positivity and unity, inspiring millions of people. Their influence continues to grow. As UNESCO’s first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors, they champion diversity and inclusion, significantly impacting people’s lives.”
