ON January 19thPledis Entertainment confirmed that Jun has been cast in the role Hu Fengkey member of a notorious criminal organization. The film, directed by the acclaimed director Larry Yang—best known for his 2015 drama film “The Cry of the Mountain”, which closed the Busan International Film Festival, will be released later this year.
“The Edge of the Shadow” delves into the intense battle between a dangerous crime syndicate and the police. Jackie Chan plays a seasoned detective determined to bring the organization to justice Tony Leung Ka-fai portrays the main antagonist and adoptive father of Jun’s character, Hu Feng.
Jun’s involvement in the project marks another milestone in his remarkable acting journey. He first gained recognition with his acting debut in 2006 “The Pye-Dog”, a performance that earned him the Best New Actor Award by the Hong Kong Directors’ Guild and a nomination for Best new performer at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards. In 2023, Jun starred in the youth romantic drama “Exclusive fairy tale”, earning the Popularity Award at the Asia Contents Awards and the Global OTT Awards. He further demonstrated his versatility in period fantasy comedy “The stars are shining.”
