On September 6, a preview video of the first episode of “Iron Girls” was released on tvN’s official channel.
In the video, participants shared their reasons for deciding to take on the challenge of a triathlon. Seol In-ah confessed, “I just can’t sleep. I’ve been taking sleeping pills for about 5 years and they’ve made me angry. I thought, ‘Why do I have to take sleeping pills to sleep?'”
Known for her healthy image, Seol In-ah explained her motivation for joining the show, “I asked myself, ‘Am I not tired enough?’ So, I tried to live busier and push my body more, which gave me this image of someone who lives a disciplined life. But in truth, I was moving more just to be able to sleep. It’s ironic that I have a healthy image, but I’ve never really been healthy, which made me think, this time I really want to be healthy.”
He added “(Because I couldn’t sleep), when I took sleeping pills, I couldn’t concentrate on filming. Since last year, I stopped taking the drugs and tried to go without them. For 3~4 days, I was up all night and my immune system collapsed. I ended up in a university hospital and had to take 24 pills a day just for my skin. That’s when I first thought that I really wanted to get well,” surprising everyone around her.
