On the afternoon of November 20, during tvN’s popular variety show You Quiz on the Block, actress Seo Hyun-jin appeared as a guest and talked about her friendship with fellow actor Gong Yoo.
He shared some fun behind-the-scenes details about their time working together, saying: “We actually work in the same company, but we only got closer while working on this project. We used to say hello to each other in passing, but we really became friends during the filming of ‘The Trunk’.”
Intrigued by their dynamic, MC Yoo Jae-suk asked, “So did you go to karaoke with Gong Yoo often during filming?“
Seo Hyun-jin chuckled and replied, “Whenever there’s a company meeting, we always end up at karaoke. It’s kind of a tradition. Gong Yoo doesn’t sing much, though. He only sings when he’s drunk, but after a while we stop asking him to sing.”
He paused before adding with a playful look, “When he’s drunk, he really wants to pick up the microphone and sing, and that’s when we let him do it!” His joking remark drew laughter from the studio, as the audience and other hosts couldn’t help but enjoy the light-hearted story about Gong Yoo’s karaoke habits.
