Soodam has officially left both SECRET NUMBER and his management company VINE Entertainment following the expiration of his exclusive contract on Friday.
The departure marks a significant turning point for the K-pop group, as Soodam was the last original member to leave the ensemble. SECRET NUMBER originally debuted in 2020 with five founding members, and with Soodam’s departure, no original members remained in the group.
VINE Entertainment released an official statement acknowledging Soodam’s contributions to the group and fan base. The agency expressed sincere gratitude to the supporters who have consistently shown their love for the ensemble. In the announcement, the company specifically thanked Soodam for his hard work and dedication throughout his tenure with SECRET NUMBER. The statement emphasizes that although his activities with the group have concluded, VINE Entertainment remains committed to supporting his career moving forward
“Moving forward, SECRET NUMBER will continue to do its best to welcome fans with a better image and we ask for your continued love and support,” the agency added in its statement.
The agency also made a direct appeal to fans, asking them to extend their encouragement and support to Soodam as he begins his next professional chapter.
Soodam’s departure completes a year of significant restructuring for SECRET NUMBER. As of early 2025, four more members – Léa, Dita, Jinny and Minji – left both the group and VINE Entertainment in April when their contracts expired. At that point, only Soodam and Zuu remained from the original lineup.
To stabilize the group, VINE Entertainment introduced four new members in August: Navi, Dinda, Ebin and Min C. The reorganized unit successfully returned with the single “Don’t touch” that same month. Zuu, who joined in 2021, is now the longest-serving member still active in SECRET NUMBER, but he is not part of the original lineup.
SECRET NUMBER gained significant recognition following their debut in 2020, garnering numerous rookie awards at major Korean music award ceremonies, including Asia Artist Awards, APAN Music Awards, and Asian Pop Music Awards. Billboard Korea named the group among the top new K-pop artists of 2020.
