There’s a reason for everything.
On January 11th and 12th, the SMTOWN LIVE in Seoul the concert took place at the Gocheok Sky Dome. For two nights, fans got to see all their favorite SM artists in one place.
This concert was even more special as it celebrated the company’s 30th anniversary. Many artists of the older generation joined the lineup, from Tony Ahn, Badaand more!
Fans were also happy to see Super Junior together because while some members performed solo activities outside the company, they still participated in group activities.
However, many fans were disappointed to see them repeat the outfits they wore before.
Wasn’t this a rehash with NCT Dream and 1.27 million? Super Junior also reformulated it, I wonder when this Silt came out.
It’s right to take care of the younger children, but I think it’s right to take care of the older ones first… ..
Smtown is a place where seniors and juniors meet, but the seniors renew their costumes, and after purchasing tickets, there are many members of the group who do not show up after telling them that they will not participate, and the hierarchy is so ugly.— PADO (@Scene_number23) January 11, 2025
So it wasn’t just NCT DREAM and NCT 127 repeating the outfits? I imagine Super Junior did too, looking at the trends on Twitter. It’s okay to take care of new idols, but isn’t it okay to take care of older ones too?
I’m crazy about reworking costumes.
I got lost today
Now that I’ve finished the academy and watched the amazing reviews and videos of Suju Sukcon…— Shaseong (1/19) (@yye116) January 11, 2025
I’m crazy about repeating outfits…today’s hair and makeup game was crazy. This is my review of watching the show after school…
No, Suju’s outfit is the same as this time.
Do you keep it and bring it back? pic.twitter.com/f12R3kEZEC— Dandal (@hyuk_right) January 11, 2025
The clothes are the same as today… why are they saving and reusing them?
However, not long after, member Leeteuk held a live broadcast and touched on the topic of clothes.

They say it’s not a remake of the Seomcon costumes, but they say the production cost for this performance itself isn’t much. If we produce it, it goes into the expenses of the business and we bear the burden, and there aren’t many performances. Making a costume costs several million won.
The reason I keep talking about it is that misunderstandings can arise. If I don’t speak… pic.twitter.com/NVY6kJSzJc— Habe (@heiboe_bl) January 12, 2025
“Many of you said that we repeated the clothes we wore a few years ago, but for this concert the production cost wasn’t high, so if we were to make custom clothes, it would come out of our pay, and we didn’t do that.” we don’t have many shows. To make clothes, we would have to pay thousands.
The reason I keep talking about it is because it can cause misunderstanding. If I don’t talk about it, stylists get all the hate. The more clothes we make, the more they subtract from the production costs and profitability of our business, and it seems like a waste to make something we only wear once. That’s why we wear them again at events. When we wear an outfit again, know that there is a reason. If we think we’ve reused an outfit too much, we talk about it. So this time, this was our situation, so I hope you all can understand.

I hope fans can understand that there’s more to a situation than meets the eye!
