Se7en Publicly Calls Out G-Dragon’s Remarks About Losing to RAIN and Having the First KPOP Lightstick

On November 5, a video titled Forever exists… | The return of the Big Bang after 7 years | ZIP Daesung ep.29 was uploaded to Daesung’s YouTube channel, ZIP Daesung. The episode featured G-Dragon and Taeyang as guests, showcasing Big Bang as a group and generating a lot of excitement. However, some of G-Dragon’s remarks have become a point of contention.

G-Dragon, Daesung, and Taeyang recalled a dance battle they had with JYP trainees early in their careers. G-Dragon and Taeyang remember defeating Jay Park and Jun. K, while Daesung said, “It all started with RAIN and SE7EN. Showing off to each other. In response, G-Dragon joked, “During the battle between RAIN and SE7EN… we lost, as far as I know,” which made others laugh. After the broadcast, Se7en responded on social media, saying, “It seems like my brothers have some things wrong,” correcting G-Dragon’s comments.

Additionally, Se7en addressed the Big Bang members’ claims ZIP Daesung who were the first to create a fan-shaped light stick, saying, “The best was the ‘7Bong (Se7en light stick),'” further affirming his statement.

The public appeal sparked mixed reactions among netizens. Some commented, “G-Dragon must feel embarrassed,” “It was just a joke, no need to take it so seriously,” and “He’s throwing cold water on a nostalgic conversation.” Others, however, sided with Se7en, saying, “If I were Se7en, I would have called him out too,” “He must have felt offended,” and “Se7en started with the ‘7 Bong’ and G-Dragon was a little reckless.”

Meanwhile, G-Dragon recently made his return after seven years with the single Energy. He will perform on stage for the first time in nine years at the 2024 MAMA Awards on the 23rd.
