Rumors are circulating that Kris Wu has a 6-year-old son out of wedlock with an heiress born in 1997

New controversy has emerged around disgraced former idol Kris Wu (Wu Yi Fan), as Chinese entertainment circles are now rife with rumors that he allegedly has a six-year-old child born out of wedlock.

Kris Wu is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence for rape and organizing group sexual activity involving multiple young women. In June this year, Chinese media reported that his prison sentence was effectively extended after both he and his mother were found guilty of large-scale tax evasion amounting to 300 million yuan (about $42 million). Having entered prison at age 31, Wu is not expected to be released until his 40s.

According to unverified information circulating in the Chinese entertainment industry and reported by outlet 163, Kris Wu is said to have a child who is now six years old and already attending primary school. The child’s mother is said to be a woman born in 1997, a wealthy heiress, former international student living in the United States, and someone described as having both beauty and an elite background.

Industry experts claim that this woman was once approved by Kris Wu’s mother as a potential daughter-in-law. However, after Wu became involved in the criminal investigation, the woman reportedly cut off all contact with him and his family and moved to the United States with the child. It is also alleged that in the last four years he never took the child to visit Kris Wu in prison.

These claims have sparked an intense debate on social media, although no official confirmation has been received from the authorities or parties directly involved. At the moment the information remains strictly rumor.

Kris Wu's illegitimate son rumor

Previously, speculation had pointed to influencer Joanna Zheng as the woman who would give birth to Kris Wu’s child. Joanna Zheng is known for her striking looks and impressive academic background, having graduated from Tsinghua University and earned a master’s degree from Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management.

However, Joanna Zheng has strongly denied the allegations. She stated that she had never dated Kris Wu or had a child with him, explaining that they simply shared mutual friends and attended social gatherings together, without any romantic involvement.

Kris Wu’s downfall began in 2021, when he became the first top Chinese celebrity to be jailed following a massive sexual assault scandal. He was arrested in July 2021 after his ex-girlfriend Du Meizhu accused him of drugging and raping her. Du also said he used his fame to lure numerous young women, some of them minors, into sexual relationships.

Chinese authorities later confirmed that between November and December 2020 Kris Wu raped three women who were drunk and unable to resist, and that in July 2018 he organized group sexual encounters involving other people. Due to the presence of underage victims, the trial took place behind closed doors and all related details, including images of Kris Wu in prison, remain strictly confidential.

After serving his sentence, Kris Wu will be deported from China and banned from re-entering the country for ten years. His appeal against the sentence was rejected by the court.

While rumors of a secret baby continue to circulate, public reaction remains extremely skeptical. Given Kris Wu’s criminal record and scandals, many netizens urge caution, stressing that no unverified claims should be treated as fact until credible evidence emerges.
