Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin made rare and heartfelt revelations about her marriage to Wallace Huo during a recent TV appearance, admitting that she once “hurriedly got married” due to her pregnancy.
According to 163 Entertainment, Ruby Lin’s candid confession caught the attention of many, as it was one of the few times the actress spoke openly about her private life.
“Yes, at that time I had to get married early because I was pregnant” Ruby Lin admitted, adding that just six months after the wedding, the couple began living separately.
Wallace Huo was busy filming the hit drama Ruyi’s royal love in the palacespending long days on set and rarely returning home.
“I’m an actress too, so I understood the demands of filming. At first I didn’t mind: I was even happy to be able to have a snack freely without anyone watching,” he joked. “But later, I realized that not seeing each other for so long created distance between us. I almost fell into depression because of that loneliness.”
The actress said she was grateful that her husband eventually acknowledged the problem and made efforts to reconnect.
“No matter how busy he was, he tried to spend three or four days at home every ten days or so. This really helped us reconnect.” he shared.
However, Ruby Lin admitted that long separations and small misunderstandings have accumulated over time, subtly affecting their relationship.
“I don’t have much experience with dating, so I didn’t really know how to handle the situation. One of the reasons I joined this program was to learn how others deal with similar challenges, maybe find an answer for myself,” said the star of The charming imperial concubine.
Ruby Lin and Wallace Huo first went public with their relationship in May 2016 and married two months later in a lavish wedding in Bali. The following year their daughter Amelia was born.
Since then, Wallace Huo has gradually stepped away from acting to focus on family life, while Ruby Lin has moved into producing, winning praise for her work behind the scenes.
Although the couple has faced rumors of marital tension due to their low profile and lack of public interaction, both have consistently chosen to remain silent and private, maintaining stability out of the spotlight.
