Appearing on JTBC Press room on December 1st Rosé talked about her recent duet with Bruno Mars, APP. (Apartment)which became a sensation. She shared that working with him brought notable changes to her vocal style.
“I wanted to create a funky and vibrant atmosphere, so I worked hard to adapt my singing. He taught me to sing lines like, “Wait for me, I’m coming to you” with more expression. When I tried, he joked, “You’ve never tried to flirt with anyone, have you?” I was shy at first, but he encouraged me, guiding me to give a better performance.”
Rosé also mentioned Bruno Mars’ creative vision for the music video:
“He had very clear ideas. She also sent reference videos and suggested, “Wouldn’t a pink background be great?” From the costumes to the overall atmosphere, he had a vivid world in mind and I learned so much from working with him.”
This collaboration not only showcased Rosé’s artistic versatility, but also highlighted her fun and engaging collaboration with Bruno Mars.
