November 21stThe MAMA Awards 2024 (Mnet Asian Music Awards) began its first night of events at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. This year, the event has been expanded to three free nights, with the second and third nights taking place on November 22nd and 23rd at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
Group of kids RIIZE participated and many were emotional after the award acceptance speech.
RIIZE began the evening event by performing a cover of NCT 127’s “Kick It” to the excitement of attendees. This came after their attention-grabbing red carpet, with each member looking elegant.

The group was also the second of the night to win an award, taking home the prize Favorite Global Performer Award (Male). Members gave speeches in different languages, Anton in English.
The idol seemed to be directly referring to the situation surrounding former member Seunghan and the related protests.

After asking attendees to wish Sohee a happy birthday, Anton thanked fans, saying they “were really grateful to be there” for the group. He then mentioned that a lot has happened in the last year, saying: “I’m sure many of us are aware of what happened.“
He then said that there were “many events”, but stated that all the members could do was promise fans that they would work hard and try to show the best version of themselves.

Many fans interpreted it as him talking about the situation and were moved by his speech.
