Seunghan is officially ready to return from break
On October 11th, SM Entertainment officially announced that Seunghan, who took an unexpected break last year, will join the group for their upcoming activities next month.
“We poured our hearts and souls into planning RIIZE even before their debut, and we decided it RIIZE’s next chapter would be even more meaningful if the seven members were together“read the statement from Wizard Production. “Therefore, after numerous discussions with the staff and members about the direction of the group’s future activities, it has been decided that Seunghan will return to the group.”
Shortly after the announcement, Seunghan personally reached out to fans via a heartfelt handwritten letter on Weverse. In his message, he expressed gratitude for the continued support he received during his absence and shared his excitement at returning to the stage with his colleagues. He also reflected on his time away from the spotlight, explaining how it helped him grow and prepare for his return.
“I know there is so much I have to show to the members who have taken me by the hand again, to the fans who fear that the results achieved in my absence may be tarnished and to the company that made the difficult decision. Naturally I feel a burden and fear about this aspect,” he wrote.
“However, I am determined to work even harder and do better because of the trust placed in me,” Seunghan added. “I will strive to be a good member who takes responsibility and does not tarnish the achievements of members. I want to become a necessary presence for the RIIZE team.”
A year long break
Seunghan’s hiatus, which began nearly a year ago, had left many fans wondering when he would return to the group. His hiatus caused him to miss all previous RIIZE promotions, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the news of his return ever since.
