Netizens have a lot to say.
Korean movie Love in the big city recently launched in South Korea. The film is about an openly gay man, Heung Soo, and his best friend Jae Hee. They grow closer and depend on each other as misfits trying to survive in the metropolitan city of Seoul. Through arguments and reconciliations, they become irreplaceable parts of each other’s lives.
Movie stars Kim Go Eun AND No Sang Hyun as the main duo. Although the film was well received overall, a religious group began protesting the drama version. There is an 8 part drama going on Nam Yoon Soo as the protagonist. They ask for a repetition of the drama to stop the production.
Inspect the Korea Content Association as the Ministry of Tourism, Sports and Culture wastes taxpayers’ money to support a homosexual drama!

They also call CJeS For “advocating the production of drama that glorifies and encourages homosexuality.”
Netizens immediately denounced these religious groups of protesters.
- At least go out and work.
- They are doing so much. See how they flail around trying to go back while the world moves forward.
- I didn’t know about the drama, only about the movie with Kim Go Eun, but I found out about it through the protest. They’re more like promoters for this…
- Bothersome.
- Fuck them. I am a Christian too, but God said to leave people alone and told us to love our enemies. Why don’t they follow him? Tsk, tsk.
- Always that religious group LOL.
- If you become homosexual by watching a movie, you will become a zombie by watching it Kingdom LOL. Their level is like this…
The drama version will air on October 21, 2024.
