On February 26, a new video was published on the YouTube channel “Go-eun, sister Han Go-eun”, where Wendy he reflected on his years studying in Canada. Laughing, he said, “All I did was eat”, before revealing that he had gained 10 to 15 kilograms (about 22 to 33 pounds) in just one year.
During that time, she was also going through a rebellious phase, which led to bold fashion choices. Wendy explained that she bleached half her hair and wore a skull-patterned tie, dramatically changing her look.
When she returned to Korea after completing her studies, her family was waiting for her at the airport, but they passed her without realizing it was her. “My mother and sister just passed me” Wendy recalled. “So I went to them myself and said, ‘Mom, it’s me.’” She added that her mother responded in shock, saying: “What happened to you?”
Coming from a conservative family, her parents would have been very surprised by both her weight gain and her edgy style. Wendy shared that after that day she dyed her hair a more natural color and toned down her look.
