Red Velvet Irene’s recent fansign event turned into a “nightmare” for a fan after a guard allegedly touched her private part during inspection.
On Dec. 9, one ReVeluv belatedly explained on social media that her friend, who is also a Red Velvet fan, was sexually assaulted by a security guard before going on stage.
The incident occurred during Irene’s fansign at Ktown4U on the 7th. The OP explained that her friend was summoned by the guards after she was suspected of carrying a hidden camera, which is prohibited while interacting with the celebrity .
In the morning I was so angry that I cursed without even explaining the situation… I will sleep and calm down a bit before writing… …
My Twitter friend was sexually assaulted by Secu at Irene Ketapo fansign on December 7th.
I’m just a person who likes Red Velvet… I’ve been treated like I’m not human many times while hanging out in a fan club, but this is really scary. pic.twitter.com/frxxoPYU7y— Takkkeun Stealball (@aseultaku) December 9, 2024
At the time the guard did not just search his padded jacket harshly, but made “unreasonable demands” during the inspection.
“He asked me to roll up my sleeve even though it was already up to my elbow. He (also) told me to jump up and down,” the victim said in a message to the uploader.
“He asked her if he could touch her chest. However, from the perspective of a fan who should follow the staff unconditionally to avoid being kicked out, how many fans can confidently say, ‘Don’t touch my body?’ added the victim’s friend.
I made a note of it, but now they’re telling me to delete it before I start.
I understand that this happens because something bad happened, but I don’t understand why good fans should suffer the harm.
I spent a lot of money, not just a penny or two, but it’s so strange that they won’t even let me write what I want to say.
I was told not to write on paper, so I wrote on the palm of my hand. pic.twitter.com/zyNQhKTdj4— Takkkeun Stealball (@aseultaku) December 9, 2024

The OP insisted that although the guard did not directly touch her friend’s chest and instead used the back of his hand, they questioned the need for such an inspection as if they were treating them like criminals.
As the post spread online, fans sympathized with the victim and recalled similar experiences. Netizens blamed SM Entertainment and asked to respect the basic human rights and privacy of fangirls.
I’ve had enough of that pathetic excuse of a company. they never defended Irene or protected her from deepfakes (from other big companies, mind you) or from harassment and threats and now they’re hiring security guards who have sexually assaulted female fans? yes, you will all go to hell
