On December 31, a netizen, A, posted about a minute-long video on his social media, claiming that a rainbow path to heaven opened in the sky near Muan Airport (where the tragic plane crash occurred of Jeju Air).

According to A, they witnessed this scene at around 4.40pm (KST) the previous day while traveling from Naju to Wando, Jeollanam-do.
“I thought it was unusual when I saw the vertical rainbow in the sky. It was so beautiful that I looked at it in awe before realizing it was pointing in the direction of Muan Airport and decided to film it,” they said.
An added, “I wondered if the victims of the sudden tragedy were ascending to heaven. The rainbow was so vivid and beautiful, but it’s a shame the video doesn’t fully capture it.”
