The K-Drama received good ratings. Unfortunately, the K-Drama has been postponed for two weeks.

Episode 7, originally scheduled to air on Saturday, December 7, has been cancelled. It was rescheduled to air on Sunday, December 8, 2024. Therefore, episodes 7 and 8 aired consecutively on December 8.

The cause was due to the current political situation. It was previously reported that on Tuesday, December 3, the President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol declared “emergency martial law” via a televised briefing, vowing to do so “eradicate pro-North Korean forces and protect the constitutional democratic order.” He accused the opposition of “controlling parliament,” of “sympathizing” with North Korea and of immobilizing the government through anti-state actions.

The National Assembly immediately called for the lifting of the president’s emergency martial law. All 190 members present (out of 300) voted unanimously to block martial law.

As martial law was lifted, South Korea prepared to impeach President Yoon. The vote should have taken place on Saturday 7 December, that’s when Marry you Episode 7 was originally scheduled to be broadcast. Since channel A broadcast a news program, the episode was postponed.

Now, the National Assembly is expected to hold another impeachment vote on President Yoon at 5pm on Saturday, December 14. The initial impeachment vote was held once on December 7. It was ultimately canceled due to “lack of quorum.”

Consequentially, Marry you will be postponed once again. With the second vote taking place a week later on December 1, Channel A will broadcast a special news special. Marry you, which was supposed to air that evening at 7:50 pm, will be postponed. The next day, Sunday 15 December, Marry you will air its final two episodes consecutively, episodes 9 and 10, concluding the K-Drama.
