Actress Young Lee Se He recently spoke about how he learned to be famous at a young age.
Lee appeared in the latest episode of Yoo Quiz on the Block and shared a painful experience of betrayal. She rose to prominence with her role in the 2003 K-Drama, Jewel in the Palace. Interestingly, he was only 11 years old at the time.
Although her character, Geum Young, was an antagonist, Lee Se Young recalled receiving positive attention for it at school. But her newly acquired fame also gave her a reality check at a very young age. Lee recalled that when Jewel in the Palace became popular, she discovered that a trusted friend actually ran an anti-fan site dedicated to her.
At that age, Lee admitted, she was unable to realize the situation, even though her parents had warned her.
It was my first year of middle school. My parents were watching something on the computer and warned me, “Don’t stand too close to the friend you’re hanging out with these days.” At the time, I pretended not to hear them.

Only when her friends at school exposed that friend did Lee finally understand and even confront them. That friend continued to run the online anti-fan café despite being exposed.
One day at school, my other friends asked me, “Why are you hanging out with her when she created an anti-fan site for you?”… When I asked, “Did you do that?” they said, “Yes, I did. I’m sorry.” But even after that, they continued to run the site.

Despite the pain, Lee managed to overcome it all and carve her way to a successful acting career. After debuting in 1997 as a child actress, she spent 27 long years in the industry, standing tall despite the challenges.
