SEVENTEEN may have a busy schedule ahead of them in 2025, but their fans, CARAT, were not happy with the agency’s upcoming activities for the boy group.

On January 2, Asia Kyungjae reported the planned activities of several K-pop groups, including SEVENTEEN. The outlet shared that SEVENTEEN will release a new album and launch a world tour to meet CARAT globally. In addition to the schedules, the upcoming military enlistment of several members is also mentioned.

“SEVENTEEN’s 10th anniversary will be celebrated with a new album and world tour,” the statement read.

“But in the meantime, the activities of the entire group are expected to have some limitations as some members are expected to enlist in the military in the first half of 2025.”

The outlet went on to say that PLEDIS Entertainment is currently working to reduce SEVENTEEN’s “hiatus” by directing its attention to sub-unit promotions, specifically on the trio BooSeokSoon, along with the upcoming duo unit of Woozi and Hoshi.

However, the agency’s intention to offer fans more content was not well received by the majority. While some were enthusiastic about the unit’s music and activities, others called out PLEDIS for planning to send SEVENTEEN on a new tour despite knowing that more members would be absent from the lineup.

They were also concerned about the members’ health and well-being, protesting that the group needed rest rather than a new world tour.
