Before taking the stage at the 2024 MTV VMAs as a solo artist, BLACKPINK’s Lisa shared a glimpse of her preparations in a recent photo.
On September 8, global superstar Lisa sparked excitement among music fans when she posted a new photo on her Instagram story.
Notably, she snapped a photo of her sneakers inside the rehearsal room and wrote the caption: “4 days to go until the MTV Video Music Awards.”

The photo reminded fans of a similar post she uploaded in 2022 during rehearsals with BLACKPINK, but this time she will be lighting up the stage alone, representing her label LLOUD.
The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards will be held on September 11 at the UBS Arena in New York. Lisa is expected to make history by announcing her debut on the MTV main stage as a solo artist.

The idol will perform her hit single, “Rockstar”, as well as her latest single, “New Woman”, feat. ROSALÍA. This is truly a huge milestone, with the idol performing alongside the biggest international artists such as Katy Perry, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenters, Halsey, Shawn Mendez, Megan Thee Stallion and many more.
Meanwhile, Lisa is highly expected to win another trophy this year, after becoming the first soloist to win the “Best in K-pop” award in 2023.
She was nominated for the “Rockstar” award in four categories: “Best K-pop”, “Best Choreography”, “Best Editing”, and “Best Art Direction”.
