So many cancellations in one day.
Passengers originally scheduled to fly on Jeju Air rushed to cancel their tickets following the deadly crash of Jeju Air Flight 2216 on December 29.
At approximately 9:00 KST on December 29, Jeju Air Flight 2216 crashed while landing at Muan International Airport. Of the 181 passengers and crew, only two survived.

According to Jeju Air, there were approximately 68,000 ticket cancellations between December 29 at 00:00 KST and December 30 at 13:00 KST. Most of the cancellations came after 9 a.m. KST, the time of the fatal crash.
Of the 68,000 cancellations, approximately 33,000 tickets were for domestic flights and 34,000 tickets were for international flights (rounding difference). Shortly after the accident, Jeju Air shut down the reservations page on its website.
