Park Seo Joon once again proved his acting prowess through an emotional and heartbreaking performance in Episode 3 of JTBC’s weekend drama Definitely tomorrowaired on December 13th.
In the latest episode, Park Seo Joon, who plays the role of Lee Gyeongdo, provided a layered portrait of a man increasingly in love with Seo Ji-woo (played by Won Ji-an), while also dealing with the scars of his past. Her delicate yet intense performance captured the hearts of viewers and attracted widespread acclaim online.
One particularly surprising moment came during a flashback scene on the beach. In this emotionally charged sequence, Gyeongdo slowly opens his heart to Ji-woo. The way he looked at her as she handed him a 500 won coin – with only the two of them left on the shore – beautifully captured the first impulses of love. Viewers praised the romantic nuance and emotional depth that heightened immersion in the story.
However, it was a confessional scene that really stood out. In his thirties, Gyeongdo reveals his buried pain to Ji-woo, and Park Seo Joon’s raw performance takes center stage. Bursting into tears, he cries, “I drank because I was choking! I walked, I ran, I tried everything, but nothing worked. Are you happy now?” He continues, “I still don’t know why you left me, not then, not now. If you left like that, you shouldn’t have come back at all. You bastard!”

This emotionally charged moment, where past and present are intertwined, has quickly become a hot topic online. Viewers have flooded social media with praise such as: “Park Seo Joon’s performance hurts in the best way,” “It’s making me immerse myself too much” “Gyeongdo’s Tears Break My Heart” AND “Park Seo Joon is Lee Gyeongdo.”
Definitely tomorrowwritten by Yoo Young-ah and directed by Lim Hyun-wook, it continues to captivate audiences with its emotional narrative and strong performances. It airs on JTBC every Saturday at 10.40pm and Sunday at 10.30pm KST.
