Actor Park Seo-joon returned to a romantic role after seven years, sparking viewers’ excitement and deep involvement with JTBC’s weekend drama.Definitely tomorrow‘.

The second episode of the drama, which aired on December 7, showed Lee Gyeong-do (Park Seo-joon) stopping his first love Seo Ji-woo (Won Ji-an) from leaving the country, continuing their romantic storyline. Episode 2 earned a 3.6% rating in the Seoul metropolitan area and 3.3% nationwide, compared to 2.7% for the premiere (Nielsen Korea, families paid).

The drama is directed by Im Hyun-wook (known for Reflection on you, King of the Earth) and written by Yoo Young-ah (Thirty-nine, Shin divorce lawyer).

Park Seo-joon last appeared in a romantic role in 2018’s tvN What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?which achieved a maximum score of 8.7%. Since then, he has starred in Netflix Creature Gyeongseong series together with Han So-hee and participated in popular variety shows such as The Seo-jin series AND Stay.

He reflected on the challenge of playing both his characters at ages 20 and 28, observing the depth and growth of his performance.

Won Ji-an plays Seo Ji-woo, the daughter of a prominent clothing family and Lee Gyeong-do’s first love. She shared that portraying multiple ages was initially daunting but offered a chance for artistic growth. Both actors emphasized mutual support and professionalism in bridging the age gap.

Director Im Hyun-wook, a former entertainment journalist, highlighted the drama’s realistic portrayal of a journalist’s life, distinguishing it from other romance series. He expressed confidence in the casting and the script, aiming to do so offer authentic and compelling romantic storytelling.
