Park Na Rae continues to find herself at the center of controversy, with past comments about her ex-boyfriends revisited amid growing allegations of workplace abuse and misuse of company funds. As claims emerge that not only former managers but also her mother and ex-boyfriend were signed up for employee insurance benefits, the public has begun to re-examine Park Na Rae’s words about her past relationships.
In January, a short clip from U+’s original variety show Let’s Be Comodo 3 went viral with the title “The shocking message Park Na Rae received from an ex-boyfriend after their breakup.“
When Pungja asked, “Have you ever felt disrespected in your life?”Park is a Rapuates, tripttelt. “Too many times” and shared anecdotes about his past relationships.
“I had a guy I dated for a day and another guy I dated for three days,” he said, describing the incidents.
“There was a time when I had planned to meet a close friend and my boyfriend. Suddenly, my boyfriend said he couldn’t come because his friend’s wife was giving birth that day. And it just so happened to be White Day.” he recalled, expressing how ridiculous the situation was.
She then shared another crazy story involving another ex-boyfriend: “We didn’t get along at all, so I asked to speak to him. It was when the game ‘AniX’ was popular. We had only dated for a day, and while we were discussing in a bar whether we should continue, he continued playing that game.”
He added, “We broke up there and then, but later he texted me asking for hearts (to continue playing)” communicating how stunned she was at the absurdity of the situation.
These lighthearted but bitter stories are now revisited in a much more serious context. Park Na Rae was recently accused by former managers of workplace harassment, forcing them to participate in drinking sessions, run personal errands, clean up after parties and stand on 24-hour calls. Former employees also allege verbal abuse, unpaid bills, proxy medical prescriptions and violations of labor laws. They filed a complaint against Park Na Rae for defamation and violation of the Information and Communications Network Act, while Park Na Rae responded with a countersuit for alleged blackmail. Police have since launched an investigation and Park Na Rae has suspended its operations.
Further charges allege that Park Na Rae falsely registered her ex-boyfriend as an employee of the company and paid him approximately KRW 44 million between January and November this year. It is also alleged that around KRW 300 million was transferred from a company account to cover his real estate deposit in August, raising suspicions of embezzlement. Additionally, Park Na Rae is facing charges of receiving illegal medical services from an acquaintance known as “the injection aunt.”
