Comedian Park Na Rae, long celebrated for her warm hospitality and down-to-earth image on MBC’s hit variety show I live aloneis facing growing controversy as allegations emerge that much of her on-screen cooking was done not by herself but by her managers.
The claims are part of a larger controversy involving allegations of workplace abuse and legal battles between Park Na Rae and her former managers, threatening to undermine one of her most carefully cultivated public personas.
On December 22, Lee Jin Ho, leader of the YouTube Entertainment channel, published an investigative video claiming this Park Na Rae’s managers were heavily involved in preparing the sumptuous meals served during her famous private gatheringss, commonly referred to as “Narae Bar”.
According to the report, Managers would be tasked with sourcing ingredients from fish markets, traveling long distances to regional suppliers, setting lighting according to guests’ preferences, and managing all aspects of food preparation and serving..
The charges go further, supporting this managers remained on hand throughout the parties to refill alcohol, serve guests, chill wine to appropriate temperatures, wash dishes, and even handle post-event cleanup into the early hours of the morning.

Park Na Rae’s agency responded forcefully. On December 5, Park Na Rae filed a counter complaint for attempted extortion. On Dec. 20, he stepped up the legal action by filing additional charges against two former managers for workplace embezzlement.
Both parties deny any wrongdoing and the investigation is ongoing.
