On March 3, Park Bom shared a letter that begins with the words: “To the people of the nation”, stating that she is not sick and is fine, but that she wanted to talk about something “careful and scary.” He referenced Adderall, a psychotropic drug, stressing that it is not a narcotic. She explained that she is an ADD patient and suffers from attention deficit disorder.
In a shocking claim, he claimed that Sandara Park had been involved in a drug-related incident and that Park Bom herself had been framed as a “drug addict” to cover it up. He further argued that there were no specific laws in Korea regarding Adderall at the time, but that the regulations were established after his case became public.
Park Bom also addressed his former agency, asking Yang Hyun-suk, producer Teddy and CL not to report to authorities that he used more than the prescribed dosage of drugs he claims he has never abused in 30 years.
In 2010, Park Bom faced charges of smuggling amphetamine-containing drugs from the United States. At the time, prosecutors had suspended the prosecution believing the drug had been brought for therapeutic purposes.
In October 2025, Park Bom also shocked the public by publishing accusations against Yang Hyun-suk, claiming that profits generated from his activities with 2NE1 had not been properly paid. He shared what he described as an exposé, naming Yang and accusing him of fraud and embezzlement. It claimed that income from music publishing, concerts, broadcasts, advertising, events, songwriting and composition had not been fairly distributed, sustaining significant financial damages.
In this regard, D-Nation Entertainment released an official statement on October 23, 2025, stating that all agreements related to its 2NE1 activities had already been completed and that no legal complaint had been formally received. The agency added that Park Bom suspended activities to focus on treatment and recovery, stressing that he was emotionally unstable and urgently needed rest. They also urged the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified claims that could cause further harm to the artist and his family.
Park Bom debuted in 2009 as a member of 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. After the group disbanded in 2016, he left the company and continued his solo career with D-Nation Entertainment. After 2NE1’s reunion, she reconnected with YG but suspended activities since August 2025 due to health problems.
