On October 9th, aespa announced the release of their special digital singles. The tracks—“UP” by Karina, “Dopamine” by Giselle, “BORED!” by Ningning and “Spark” by Winter—were first introduced during their solo phases as part of the group’s ongoing second world tour, ‘SINK: PARALLEL LINE’.
The singles were received with great enthusiasm, in particular “UP” by Karina which made an impressive debut at number 28 on the Melon Top 100. “UP” is a bold hip-hop track that showcases Karina’s confident and flirty image. With lyrics written entirely by Karina herself, the song highlights her independence and strong musical talent, further cementing her reputation as a well-rounded artist.
Giselle’s solo track, “Dopamine”, is a sultry R&B song that emphasizes his songwriting and composition skills.
