As Jo Se Ho prepares to return to variety shows less than a month after resigning from tvN Take the block quizcontroversy over his alleged links to organized crime has flared up once again. The netizen who initially raised the so-called “connection between bands” has now issued a new, more aggressive warning, drawing renewed attention to the case.
The individual, referred to as Netizen A, who first alleged that Jo Se Ho had ties to an organized crime figure, recently posted on social media questioning the timing of the comedian’s return. In the post, A wrote: “Is Jo Se Ho coming back already?” and added that since the gangster’s alleged acquaintance reportedly fled abroad, making investigations difficult, Jo Se Ho’s return seems suspicious. A continued to threaten, “Then I will also publish a video shot with the wife at that person’s house.”
In another post, A escalated the rhetoric further, claiming: “I told him to stay calm and come back later. Do you want to face this head-on with me now?” A argued that the relationship could not be dismissed as a “casual knowledge”, claiming that Jo Se Ho introduced his wife to the individual before the wedding and they drank together at that person’s house. These statements were accompanied by hints of further revelations to come.
The controversy first erupted when photos emerged showing Jo Se Ho with a key figure suspected of running illegal gambling sites and laundering money. Online posts claimed that Jo Se Ho received expensive gifts from the individual and even promoted a franchise business linked to him.

Jo Se Ho responded by strongly denying any wrongdoing, stating that the person in question was simply an acquaintance and that allegations of illegal financial activity or trading were completely false. However, as public criticism intensified, he stepped down from his regular appearances on programs such as Take the block quiz and KBS2 2 Days and 1 Night Season 4announcing a temporary suspension of its activities.
About three weeks later, news surfaced that Jo Se Ho would be joining the Netflix variety show Crazy Season 4effectively confirming his return to entertainment. The production team stated that the new season was in preparation and that Jo Se Ho would participate as planned.

Following this return announcement, Netizen A’s social media posts reignited the debate. In particular, the threat to release a video purportedly involving Jo Se Ho’s wife has raised concerns among some observers about potential invasions of privacy and intimidation.
At the moment, Jo Se Ho’s side has not released any new statements regarding the latest threats. He had previously acknowledged that the photos had caused disappointment, but reiterated that the allegations were not true and that he would address the matter through legal channels, signaling a firm response to what he considers to be unfounded allegations.
