After three years, Netflix’s live-action One Piece is back with season 2, introducing new characters from the Grand Line. Among these, Nico Robin has quickly become one of the most talked about figures.

Played by actress Lera Abova, Nico Robin impressed viewers with her striking visuals and mysterious aura. Although she only appears for about five minutes in eight episodes, her scenes quickly went viral on social media, with many fans saying she looks like she’s “straight out of the manga.”

Robin also attracted attention with her Flower-Fruit ability, which allows her to sprout body parts anywhere to capture or defeat enemies. During his brief encounter with the Straw Hat Pirates aboard their ship, Robin confidently states that he could easily defeat them in seconds.

With his formidable skills, intelligence, and enigmatic aura, the character lives up to his bounty of 930 million Belly in the world of One Piece. Many fans even consider her one of the most beautiful female characters in the series,

Lera Abova’s casting initially received mixed reactions when it was first announced. While some fans believed she bore a perfect resemblance to the manga character, others wondered whether her relatively limited acting experience would allow her to fully capture Robin’s complex personality.

Born in 1992, Lera Abova is a Russian-German actress who was born in Siberia before moving to Germany with her family at the age of 13. He reportedly had a difficult childhood adapting to a new environment due to language barriers, but eventually built a career through persistence and determination.

Abova first entered the fashion industry after being discovered by famous British photographer David Sims in 2016. In just two years she appeared in numerous fashion campaigns. Her move into acting followed soon after, with roles in projects such as Anna, the German spin-off of Pitch Perfect, and most recently the highly anticipated season 2 of One Piece.

With her brief but memorable debut, Nico Robin has already become one of the highlights of One Piece’s second season.
