According to an exclusive report from OSEN on the 27th, NewJeans recently completed filming KBS2’s “The Return of Superman”. The episode featuring NewJeans will air in November.
In this episode, NewJeans meets Eunwoo and Jungwoo, the sons of former national fencing athlete Kim Junho. This marks NewJeans’ first appearance on a terrestrial variety show since their appearance on KBS2’s “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” in June. On that show, NewJeans impressed viewers with their variety skills, and they also made a surprise appearance on “The Boss Has Donkey Ears,” which became a hot topic.
However, not all members appeared this time, as only Minji participated in the filming. He met Kim Junho and his children Eunwoo and Jungwoo, who are some of the most beloved and popular families in “The Return of Superman.” Eunwoo and Jungwoo have already met various celebrities, including national athletes such as Oh Sangwook and Do Kyungdong, as well as stars such as Cha Eunwoo, Ha Ji-won and Kim Ho-young. This is the first time the boys have met a member of the girl group, sparking curiosity about the stories they have shared.
“The Return of Superman” is a variety show that depicts the challenges faced by fathers, who become “Superman” for their children. After starting as a pilot in 2013, it became a regular program and has since become one of KBS’s flagship shows. Currently, Jason, Kim Junho, DinDin, Jang Dongmin, Park Soohong, and Jung Mi-ae appear on the show, providing laughs and touching moments in each episode.
Meanwhile, starting in November, “The Return of Superman” will move its broadcast day from Sunday to Wednesday.
