The second day of THE FACT MUSIC AWARDS (TMA) 2024 took place on September 8th at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.
NewJeans received the prestigious awards for Artist of the Year, Musinsa Popularity Award, and World Best Performer. In addition to expressing their gratitude to their fans, NewJeans also thanked Min Hee-jin.
After receiving the popularity award, Danielle said: “It is truly an honor to receive such a wonderful award. Many people have helped us get to this point and I am grateful to our amazing staff, overseas staff and performance directors. Most of all, I love and appreciate our Bunnies so much.“
She added, “We truly love and thank our CEO Min Hee-jin, who always loves and protects us.”
Furthermore, Hyein took the microphone and said, “I want to say this because I think this is the last chance. Thank you so much to our CEO. I love you so much.“
Meanwhile, former CEO Min Hee-jin was fired by Ador’s board of directors on August 27. While Ador announced that Min Hee-jin would retain her role as an internal director and continue to work with NewJeans, Min’s side objected to this as unilateral notification and unfair contract. However, Ador stressed that “The decisions, notifications and votes of the Ador board of directors were conducted in accordance with the law and company regulations.“
After the dismissal, the members shared their feelings. Minji expressed through the fan communication platform Phoning, “I couldn’t stand the heat and hoped that summer would end soon, but now that the sky is high and autumn is coming, I feel a little uneasy. It’s been about a week since these events happened, and I wanted to go and tell you all about them, but I couldn’t.“

He continued: “I wanted to say this and comfort many Bunnies who care about us, but I wasn’t sure this time. It’s frustrating to have to go through unnecessary trouble when even one day isn’t enough to talk about only good things.“
Danielle also confessed: “In fact, after CEO Min Hee-jin was fired, we faced many difficulties and worries. I felt very anxious. I always wanted to show only positive and happy sides to our Bunnies..”
