The mothers of New Jeans exposed members MOVESIt’s a cover.
On October 7, the NewJeans members’ mother spoke to Sports Ilgan. According to the mothers, HYBE had maliciously deleted an episode during which Hanni had suffered disrespect from the manager of another HYBE group.

Two days later, I received a response from CEO Kim Ju Young, saying that fans had filed a criminal complaint against that media outlet and Source Music, and that we could consider waiting for the results. I found it quite absurd.
In an email sent by CEO Kim, it was mentioned that NewJeans members may file a civil lawsuit against the media for violating their right of publicity. However, we should also consider that initiating such proceedings against a media company could be viewed negatively. Furthermore, he said that without objective evidence regarding the leak, our chances of winning may not be high. It is also mentioned that ADOR had sent an official letter to Source Music and the media in August but had not received a response.
He pointed out that there are no criminal penalties for violations of publicity rights and that even if we sued Source Music and received a “no charges” disposition, it could be used against us. Given that fans have already filed complaints against the media and Source Music, the email suggests that we might consider waiting for the results. I don’t understand how they can say there are no criminal sanctions and then tell us to wait for the outcome of the fans’ complaint. At the same time, despite all these considerations, they offered to provide the necessary resources so that NewJeans members could proceed with a lawsuit if they so desired. Finally, parents expressed their concerns regarding the new management of ADOR. The parents revealed how defeated they felt but hoped the truth would eventually see the light.
During this period we raised several issues with the new ADOR management, including this one, and initiated numerous discussions. However, nothing has been resolved in the last few months and I now find myself in an almost desperate state and worried about the future. All we can do at this point is maintain the belief that the truth will prevail. Since lies cannot last forever, we have faith that the truth will come to light sooner or later, even if it takes time.
