On April 4, the parents of the members of Newjeans publicly refuted recent media relationships that suggest a rift between them, affirming their unity and the unshakable support for their daughters during the legal dispute with Ador and Hybe.
Through social media, parents have collectively affirmed, “The relationships spread by some media are completely false. All five members are stopped in their decision not to return to Hybe.”
They underlined, “We, the parents, fully respect the decisions of our daughters. These challenges have only strengthened our communication and deepened our bonds. It is frustrating and disappointing to see voices without foundation on family disputes and the potential departures of the members who have been reported as a fact.”
They also dealt with the items involving member Hyein and his legal dispute of protection. “The tabloid relationships concerning Haerin are completely false. Both Haerin and his parents are firmly united in their position and any hypotheses on their family situation are completely unfounded.”
The parents continued, “The new direction of Ador and Hybe has never gained our trust, and this has not changed.”
These statements came in response to a relationship that an alleged disagreement between the parents regarding the exclusive cause of termination of the contract against Ador. The day before, the central district court of Soul held the first hearing on the cause of Newjeans to confirm the disability of their exclusive contract with the agency.
During the session, the Court asked Newjeans’ legal representatives if a family court protection was made regarding one of the members of the minor, indicating that an initial disagreement may have been resolved.
This led to the speculation that the parent of Hyein or Haerin may have opposed the cause relating to the termination of the contract.
In their complete declaration, the parents clarified:
We collectively confirm that the relationships on discord between us are false. All five members are firmly against the return to Hybe and that decision was made after in -depth discussions within each family. Previously we had agreed that no legal action would begin unless all five members do not agree, reflecting strong trust and unity between them.
Even in these difficult times, the members remain close, they often meet and support each other. As parents, we communicate regularly and keep close ties. We are deeply troubled by false voices and relationships that try to create a division.
They concluded: “The question of the adaptation of protection was for a different member, whose family is equally united. We urge everyone to refrain from mirroring our private family issues.” _
Parents also mentioned the Law on disputes for the Korea family, article 10 and 72, which prohibits the dissemination of personal information in the media relating to family judicial cases, warning against further violations of privacy.
“We hope that this deeply personal question is not armed to manipulate public opinion in the current dispute with Ador,” they added. “A company should be built on trust, but we have never received it from the new Adr or Hybe management, and we will never do it.”
