On September 25, Minji’s cryptic messages to fans made headlines.
Minji reportedly wrote to her fans that she loved them and wanted them to take care of them. Reports state that her messages seemed to indicate that she would be away from her fans for a while.

The messages are being scrutinized more than usual because the idol had previously given HYBE permission to bring back Min Hee Jin until now. HYBE, however, scoffed at NewJeans’ ultimatum, stating that they would respond according to their policies and ultimately choosing to ignore the idols’ pleas.
