New Jeans member Hyein recently received cold treatment from the media at Incheon International Airport.
On September 29, KST, Hyein left for Paris from South Korea to attend the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2025 Women’s Show. Unlike the usual airport appearances of popular idols, she was clicked by only one media outlet, Newsen.
This struck many netizens as a strange phenomenon. In comparison, BLACKPINK‘S Jenny AND (G)I-DLE‘S Minnieboth leaving South Korea on the same day at more or less the same time from Incheon, they were clicked by numerous media. One user up Instit pointed out that Jennie’s photos were taken by eight different media outlets, including Newsen, NEWS, News about power, TOPSTARNEWS, TVDaily, The Herald Pop, OsenAND MHNSports.
Minnie was also clicked by five different outlets, namely Newsen, TVDaily, Herald Pop, Osen and MHNSports.
Many accused HYBE of being involved in Hyein’s unexpectedly cold reception by the media at the airport, given the ongoing conflict between the company and NewJeans members.
