NewJeans took the K-pop community by storm with an explosive livestream video, in which they called out HYBE’s firing of Min Hee Jin from ADOR and their mistreatment of the group. Furthermore, they also called for Min Hee Jin’s reinstatement as ADOR’s CEO.
Previously, on August 27, Min Hee Jin resigned as ADOR CEO and another internal director was appointed to the role. On September 11, all five members of NewJeans held a YouTube livestream to address several issues related to HYBE and Min Hee Jin.
In the final part of the video, the members ask HYBE to reinstate Min Hee Jin by September 25th.
HI! “HYBE is acting dishonestly towards us. Please stop interfering, reinstate our CEO, and restore the original ADOR environment. We are not looking for special treatment, we just want everyone to do their job well and we will do our best in our roles as well. We hope this request reaches you.”
Danielle: “I hope you stop bothering our CEO, Min Hee Jin. Honestly, she seems pathetic and HYBE is giving the impression of being an inhuman company.”
Minji: “We want the original ADOR with Min Hee Jin as the CEO, and her in charge of both management and production. As for why we are requesting this, it is because this is the only way we can get along with HYBE.”
Minji: “If our request reaches you, we hope that President Bang and HYBE will make the wise decision to restore ADOR to its original state by the 25th. Thank you for listening.”
