It is in talks for a Netflix remake.
Korean entertainment powerhouses reportedly reported Oct. 24, KST For Ye Jin AND Ji Chang Wook I’m in talks to star in a Netflix project called Unspeakable scandal.
The drama is an adaptation of a popular 2003 film of the same name. Originally based on the French novel Dangerous relationships Of Pierre Choderloswill reinvent the story against the backdrop of the Joseon Dynasty. In 2003, the film Unspeakable scandal recorded over 3 million visitors in South Korea despite not being rated for its explicit scenes.
Son Ye Jin was considered for the role of Lady Jo, the central female character in the Netflix remake. Ji Chang Wook, on the other hand, is in talks to play Jo Won, the male lead. In the story, the two characters team up to corrupt the virtuous girl, Lady Suk.
Despite the success of the 2003 film, not everyone seems to be on board with the idea of Son Ye Jin taking on the Netflix remake, given the highly sexual content. Notably, the drama will be directed by EJ-yongknown for his other mature films, such as Eungyo AND Someone.
