A recent report speculating about his uncle’s involvement in a company has raised suspicions.
Amid the ongoing conflicts between New Jeans, I LOVE ITand the company’s former CEO, Min Hee Jinspeculations by a KOSDAQThe publicly traded company “D” is involved with Min and the NewJeans member HyeinUncle raised his eyebrows.
It was initially rumored that Company “D” was in the process of recruiting Min Hee Jin, but she promptly denied it, saying she had not met any investors. The same company has now been associated with Hyein’s uncle, surnamed Lee.
On November 13th, Women’s economy reported that five people, including Lee, would be registered as internal director candidates for company D. The company had intended to make a motion at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders this month to register these five candidates, including Lee, but the decision was unexpectedly withdrawn.
Company D’s public filings with the Data Analysis, Retrieval and Transfer System of the Financial Supervision Service showed that one of the five named individuals was company president H Lee, a graduate of Hanyang University. Based on these details, entertainment industry insiders speculated that this Lee in question was Hyein’s uncle.
Lee first appeared on the list of internal director nominees in an Oct. 2 statement. His appointment was supposed to be considered at the extraordinary general meeting on November 8, but the meeting was postponed twice, to November 20 and 26.
Interestingly, Company D’s decision to replace its entire internal board of directors came soon after Min denied the investment rumors. He released an official statement on November 5, calling the rumors “baseless,” and two days later, Company D revealed its full review of its board member candidates.
Neither Min Hee Jin nor Company D clarified the connection between the company and Hyein’s uncle, which led to speculations becoming murkier. But netizens believe that such speculations are fueled by MOVES damage the public image of NewJeans and Min Hee Jin.
