NCT’s Mark Lee, known for his playful side, followed in the footsteps of fellow hustler Timothée Chalamet by entering his lookalike contest.
The quintessential NCT member, who belongs to all three subunits of the group – including NCT U, NCT 127 and NCT Dream – sparked speculation from fans when he posted about the event on Instagram.
The idol shared a photo of the poster advertising the event, which had been rescheduled from December 7 at 1.27pm as a tribute to NCT 127, along with three crying emojis.

The new date of December 13 honored the tradition of NCT 127 with a time of 1:27 pm in Washington Square Park in New York City.
The post led fans to speculate whether or not Mark would show up at the event, a la Timothée, who showed up at his lookalike contest, also held in Washington Square Park, in October.
NCT fans NCTzens added that while the singer was performing for the annual Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden at 7pm, he had plenty of time to arrive at the competition with room to spare.
The speculators were vindicated when Mark did, in fact, show up to the crowded event, flanked by bodyguards on both sides.
While Timothée’s surprise appearance in October has spurred many copycat contests for various celebrities across the country (and even internationally), very few have resulted in the appearance of the celebrity in question.
Among countless lookalike competitions, including those for the cast of Challengers, The bear star Jeremy Allen White and even political figure Jack Schlossberg, only a few stars appeared (aside from Timothée, the shortlist also includes Glen Powell).
