On September 26, NCT’s Jaehyun he officially announced that he would join the army.
After basic military training, he will serve in the military band.
SM Entertainment released an official note on Weverse regarding his enlistment.

After the sudden news, Jaehyun turned to the Bubble app and left a heartfelt message to fans.
“Are you OK?
You may be surprised by the sudden news, but I will be enlisting in the army in November. I want to express my feelings to NCTzens soon.
If it weren’t for this work, I would never have been able to experience the precious memories with the fans, our precious relationship and the extent of the love, and I am grateful for that once again.
I have always followed my own pace and I am so grateful and love all of you who have always trusted me and walked beside me.
Even though I say I will be back soon and I will wait a little longer, I will definitely miss you all.
I will be back healthy, so I hope you all are safe and well while I am away.
I will continue to work hard as I look back on our memories and anticipate the future to come.
